This standard specifies requirements for organizations working within the oil, gas and petrochemical industry supply chain. ISO/TS 29001:2011 provides additional requirements to ISO 9001 specifically intended for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. For organizations within the oil and gas industry supply chain, certification to ISO/TS 29001 represents a significant opportunity for standardization and improvement. First published in 2003, it was developed by ISO and the international oil and gas industry, led by American Petroleum Institute (API).
